The point is that it's not just Rummy but all of the Republican
Senators that opposed Clinton during the time, many of whom are in
power today.

Further the whole basis of this is Republicans trying to head off the
valid argument that Bush did jack to fend off Al Quaeda prior to 9/11
(not Clinton or his legacy).

For example, when Pres Clinton was delivered a report stating that Bin
Laden might use Airplanes to attack the US he tightened airport and
airline security (much to the very public disturbance of airlines as
they had to pay for it.)

Bush, on the other hand, was delivered a document titled, "Bin Laden
Determined To Attack Inside the United States" and did nothing.

Further, Bush demoted and cast aside Mr. Clark, a terrorism expert who
had served for both Pres Reagan and Pres Bush, who was attempting to
push forward the Al Quaeda danger.

Of course arguing who sucked more is mostly pointless.
