There is a strange category of person out there that actually liked Clinton (a
lot), and actually likes Bush/Cheney. I'm also a fan of Thomas Barnett.

If you accept that islamo-extremists in the middle east are not to be reasoned
with, not to be bargained with, are well-funded, well-connected politically
(ie. Iran), are willing and able to use WMD as soon as they possibly can on
major western cities, and have an army of hate-filled suicidal fanatics ...
then Bush/Cheney start to look like machiavellian geniuses.

Yes, use our military. Yes, obfuscate the entirely corrput U.N. Yes, pour
billions into putting our entire army on their doorstep. Afghanistan to the
left, Iraq to the right, and Iran smack dab in the middle. Thier queen in
pinned, any move results in checkmate. It's no longer we get bombed and bleed
... and it's not Mutually Assured Destruction ... now it's we get bombed and We
Crush Your Entire World.

The rest of it can be argued ad infinitum - methods, tenets, etc. For example,
if you think they wouldn't kill 100's of millions if they could, and instead
they'd use it as a bargaining chip ... thats a different argument than the one
I'm making.

I'm just saying, what they've (Bush/Cheney et al) done, and what they're doing,
makes perfect sense if one believes the argument in the second paragraph above.
Me ... the whole cutting-off-heads thing is what did it. Whatever it takes ...
its no longer about being nice, or moral, or friendly, or satisfying mrs naive
goody-two-shoes on Air America that'd rather pay welfare moms to have more kids
...

It's Jack Bauer time. It's time to decide who lives, who dies, and who gets to
write the history books.

Just my 50 cents.

P.S. This is a very strange "coldfusion" list.

So 99% of everything you posted is the typical
        one-sided-lie-of-omission-make-up-lies-with-kernels-of-truth type
propaganda that misled this country into a war of choice that's making
        the terrorism problem worse.

My position on it is that we're all to blame: Clinton, Bush, Congress,
and the US citizens. Life was so good under Pres Clinton that we
actually spent $400 million to find out the President's sex life. That
        was our big worry.

We were all asleep at the wheel and we all deserve blame. The more
important question is what are doing now. The most important answer
is squandering $1 trillion on a war of choice that's making worse the
factors that caused us to be attacked in the first place not to
mention draining our ability to fight.

So, the crystal clear facts are that President Bush's "war on terror"
has been an firm and total failure and we need new leadership that
works with facts rather than faith.

And that's why, despite the fact that I cringe to vote for my local
Democrat candidate for the Senate, I'm going too.

It's time for new leadership and Bush has fecked things up so bad that
the yeah-but-they'll-suck-worse argument can't possibly be true. You
can't feck things up worse than Bush has.

This is the foreign policy bottom. Welcome!
