http://www.theeagle.com/stories/092706/texas_20060927024.php Read the article and tell me where the quoted paragraph makes a LICK of sense? I'll agree that there are Christian fundamentalists out there that interpret the Bible in strange ways and do off the wall things in the name of religon but I can't find one reference to religion in the article I found. It doesn't say anything about Christianity or Islam. I mentioned the story to a moslem student of mine and he indicated that, "for a fifth grade class most moslem families would consider it inappropriate." The facts as I was able to find - * Veteran art teacher took 89 5th graders to art museum. * Principal urged the field trip. * Parents signed permission slips allowing children to go on field trip. * Students went on field trip and saw "nude bodies". * Parents complained to the school board. * School board decided to suspend her and then not renew her contract. Now as someone who enjoys museum wandering I know that the children could have seen anything from the classical art and sculputres to modern art (best recollection was a "growing wall" that showed pairs of naked people starting at babies and going to a pair of 100-year-olds. I did find one other article at http://www.nbc5.com/news/9936513/detail.html that showed opposition to the school board's decision. Personally there seems to be more to the story than is being released right now. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:216163 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
