LOL! Vet school! That's great! I had wanted to go to vet school too,
then I found out HOW MUCH school was involved. So I changed my mind. I
hated school. :)

Yeah, racing down to the paddock for photos was always fun. At the
Meadowlands, I used to be in the race paddock a lot during the cold
months, so it was a 1/8 of a mile jog to get to the winner's circle on
time for a photo. Some tracks have a golf cart for the winning trainer
and groom. In the summer months we raced out of the front paddock. That
was easy. Every once in a while, if I wasn't racing, I'd run down from
the Press box at the top of the Grandstand to the paddock for a picture
with a friend's horse. But usually, if I wasn't racing the horse, then
I'd watch from the front paddock so I'd be there already. :) Watching a
race from the top lost a lot of appeal, as I like to hear them go by and
feel the ground shake. The front paddock is a crazy place to be during a
race.

Cheers,
Erika
