So, my sister wrote back and said: "it can still increase the premiums, just by filing a claim. depends on how much damage there is to whether it's worth it or not. if he gets an estimate and then asks his agency, they can tell him how much it would increase. that way he can make the decision as to whether it would be worth it or not."
