Ho, boy. Ok. Let's cover this again ...

(1.) I never said the economy wasn't "doing great". The irony in your
question is that while you call yourself a conservative you don't
recognize a real one, me.

You see, real conservatives are nervous to paranoid about the FUTURE,
not the present. They look for any signs of derailment in their
positions and hedge them accordingly.

(2.) As to what is or is not Bush's fault, that's simple. There are
only 2 throttles on the economy: fiscal policy and monetary policy.
Bush only controls fiscal policy. And his move has been to ramp up
spending to the stratosphere while cutting revenue.

Does that guarantee failure? No. Is it risky? Hell yes. He got
lucky, that's all. Someone who ramps up spending and cuts sources of
revenue is not conservative, but liberal.

(3.) A liberal doesn't worry about the future, he spends all his money
on crap rather than preparing the house for winter. Now that liberal
might get lucky and get a warm winter, but that's not because he
controls the weather.

Your lesson for the day: correlation does not equal causation. Now
get out there and blow some money!
