I would start with the same brand and type of food the breeder is giving them and slowly mix in whatever you choose to give your puppy. Switching foods can cause some unpleasant odors not too mention is often times can upset the dog's stomach.
I would stick with a good brand of dog food such as Science Diet. We have an English Bulldog (Herbie) and feed him Eukanuba (not the greatest of brands) and he loves it. We tried the chicken and corn mix but he didn't like it... his stool was all funky too. :-) He now gets lamb and rice which seems to be the right mix. I know a lot of people who brush their dogs teeth and to be honest, I find it a little unnecessary if you provide them plenty of chew toys and bones. Herbie has extremely clean teeth and we have never brushed them... he does drill through chew toys/bones however. Good luck and post some pictures for us! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:217234 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
