I wish I had done that with our terrier, Samson. Sammy is now officially
known as Sammy Money Pit. To date:

        $600 for breeder
        $150 for obedience lessons
$1500 for veterinary orthopedic surgeon to repair broken knee
$250 to find out we needed a veterinary orthopedic surgeon
        $325 for dental cleaning
$225 for skin infection on his belly and antibiotics
$205 for eye infection and antibiotics (today)

This doesn't include is regular prescriptions for heart worm and fleas.

Today's appointment incidentally revealed that Sammy has a minor heart
murmur. Yay, more money for meds and vet bills, if it gets any worse. Any
one interested in a slightly used, almost good as new cairn terrier?

Duane

Subject: new question about our puppy

So I was looking at a few books and reading online about the various
shots and vet visits, etc..
I saw a link to a pet insurance website, www.petinsurance.com. Do you
pet owners think this is a good idea? Getting insurance for your pet
and can you recommend an insurance company/website if you have or had
their service?

Thanks
