So far the only thing I can tell that they are able to ban together about is their stance against Bush.
In many districts that won't help at all, and in others the republican candidate can distance themselves. The Republican strength in the past few years has been their ability to come up with common goals, and mobilize the base to vote the people in that are campaigning on them. In the last election they got Marriage amendments on the ballots to ensure the conservative voters came to polls, and to make sure they knew which side was supporting that view. Howard Dean, a man that even many democrats think is crazy was put at the top of the party, and is pushing a more left swinging agenda, when it is clear that the people or more in the middle. My guess is there are going to be changes, but I don't know if it will be enough. I don't think the Foley thing is going to be a major party issue, as it isn't turning out to be this huge conspiracy. > -----Original Message----- > From: Gruss Gott [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Yeah, a great altenative is Russel's suggestion, but that ain't > happening either.
