I'm not going to call out specific people, but I know a number that I
would call fascist in their political beliefs. A couple of royalists.
One guy I am sure is a communist (the real thing). Some who would love
an oligarchy. Much fewer socialists as a group than other populations
(cannot right now think of _any_). Not a single anarchist in the lot.

Think about the ideals of those fraternal orders, and think about the
philosophies behind various isms, and you can see that they would
lean, on the whole, towards the more nationalistic sphere of political
thought. My experience over the last 40 years of constant exposure
reinforces the thought.

Mind you, I am not using "fascist" as a pejorative, but as a
particular flavor of authoritarian-leaning political viewpoint.

I hold most of the people mentioned above in the highest regard.
