If that were truly the reason, friggin say it, and lets actually go WIN the darn thing.
If that were truly the reason we are there, could we have a WORSE plan to make it happen? It does not seem, to me (or my pocket book) that we are being particularly successful. And how is it going having Iraq pay for the rebuilding out of oil sales? How cheap would our oil be if we took the 2 billion dollars a week we are spending in Iraq (hard costs), and used it to help pay for oil? If we were really trying to WIN, then we should give the men on the ground the tools and political support they need to win. Decisively. Now. But we aren't. We are half-assing the effort, and it seems to me Bush is doing nothing but trying to delay and hold the status quo until the end of his shift, and leave the cleanup for someone else.
