I believe that C# is the Microsoft centric verison. if you're looking for 
cross-platform availability Java is the way to go.

not too sure, but from what ive read/heard, there is little to no diff 
between
the two, and quite the easy bridge of knowledge if one were proficient in
either to make that leap.
