Which is conspiracy BS, but we'll see if I'm wrong.  Bush's Dad
finally convinced his son that he was an idiot and the son finally
agreed.  So now Bush is trying it Daddy's way.

There's no way Bush would appoint a "Sec of Iraq" if he didn't intend
on implementing the solution the nominee helped create.  And much of
that solution has already been released.

The piece tries to make some crazy realist point without remembering
that the whole reason we're the position we are is because we invaded
Iraq when it was massively stupid to do so.

This is the same argument the neo-cons have been making for 4 years:
the principled right-thing-to-do.  Well, it wasn't that's now obvious.

So the editorial is pig with lipstick and 70% of America is Jewish.
