Here's a variation on Thanksgiving cranberry sauce that people always
seem to like after a big meal:

Holiday Sorbet For Kitchen Lovers
---------------------------------------------------
1 bag frozen raspberries
1 pint fresh cranberries
(add frozen blueberries, cubed peeled apples, skinned peeled oranges, whatever!)
1 cup sugar
half a bottle of red wine (more or less, should be more thick than thin)

Throw it all into a pot and bring to boil stirring a lot and then
simmer for 15 min. While stirring smash about 1/2 or more of
cranberries against the side of the pan. A hand blender makes quick
work of it too, just make sure to pulse a FEW times over the
cranberries. Too much and it's soup.

Pour into a cake pan and put into the freezer. After about an hour
stir it well to break up the ice crystals. Go back every 20min or 1/2
hour to break up the ice and keep it well mixed. Eventually it'll
become consistency of sorbet. It's ready! (Takes like 4 hours)

The bummer is that if you leave it in too long it'll get hard as a
rock. So it's kind of a timing thing. I'll usually move it to the
fridge if it gets done too early.

As you can see you need to be a kitchen person for this to be fun. If
you're not, don't try it :)
