The Grand Canyon gift shops are just that, gift shops. They aren't
presenting this book as scientific fact. The Author may be presenting the
book as fact, however it is up to the people to read the various books and
determine what it is they believe.

He also linked to the National Park service official website, the
information on that site clearly states in geological and scientific terms
what created the Grand Canyon.

The blog post is simply somebody who actually took the time to cite
reasonable sources and do a little investigation into the subject.
