While we're on the subject, I've got a bit of a dilemma too. Right
before I moved back to Chicago, I installed SuSE on my second hard
drive. A few days later, the movers came and packed all of my stuff up.
When I got my stuff back several months later, lo and behold, I'm
missing a few boxes of stuff and my SuSE software and the boot disk were
in one of the missing boxes. Now I have a 6GB HD that's sitting there
essentially useless. Is there anyway for me to reconfigure it so that I
can gain access to that second HD drive again? I don't care about
losing the Linux, actually, I want it to be off because I'm going to get
a separate box for that. I am not too savvy when it comes to OS's and
the inner workings of them. Basically, if something happens beyond the
scope of what's given in the instructions, I'm lost! Sorry to bother
you guys with this, but it seemed an opportune time to bring it up.
Besides, you guys are pretty smart.

Thanks,

OK .. I'm trying to install RedHat on a box. I go through the whole
custom
setup, setting the partitions manually, etc. After I go through the
entire
installation process, with no problems, and reboot, I get an error
stating
that there is no active partition on the HDD that I am trying to boot
from!!
WTF? I completely partitioned and formatted the thing 4 times now.
This
HDD ran Linux before with no worries. What am I missing?
