Oh stop. Like the public has any idea how to conduct a war. Let's not
trust
the experts in the military, let's leave it up to a vote! How about we
have
a special episode of American Idol where people get to vote on our
specific
strategy and tactics in Iraq? That's bound to be effective.

What we really should do is give the military commanders a specific set of
goals- secure Baghdad, for instance, ask them what they need to get the
job
done and when they think they will accomplish the goals, then give them
the
resources they ask for to get the job done.
