You can try to obfuscate that truth with morals or terrorism but none of that washes. We're only in the Middle East for oil. And, if take RoMunn's other point - that oil is "fungible" - we shouldn't care about the Middle East at all. Let's pull out, watch it implode and then make friends with whomever is left.
