I don't know nothin' from nothin' but are those really the only two options? Couldn't it just be a stray domestic dog or a mixed breed feral animal or something like that? Don't get caught in a false duality! Maybe it's a robot dog... "Dynomutt" or a "Chomps" prototype. (Forgive me, I'm, at the risk of cliché, sick AND tired.)
