Just because she had a warrant for her arrest does not automatically make her a 'felon'.
Also, there are other ways of detaining someone without putting them in the county jail. As someone pointed out already, if a suspect is injured before being in police custody (or even while in police custody), these suspects are usually brought to the hospital. Not to mention, in most areas, 'rape kits', where evidence is gathered from the rape victim, are usually done in a hospital. (At least both of these were true in NJ when I still lived there and worked as a paramedic). There is no excuse for throwing this woman in jail...detaining her at the station, maybe, but not throwing her in jail On 1/31/07, James Smith <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > That's just insane. > > I agree, how stupid of the police to even think about locking up a felon, > that's just ridiculous! > > -- > James Smith - IT Director > uWish Ltd - http://www.uWish.co.uk > > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Upgrade to Adobe ColdFusion MX7 Experience Flex 2 & MX7 integration & create powerful cross-platform RIAs http:http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;56760587;14748456;a?http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/flex2/?sdid=LVNU Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:226345 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
