If there was a point in that beyond "change carries risk" I didn't get it.

Yes, making tough choices is ... tough.  It carries risk.  But that's
why we need a smart President who knows how to make tough decisions by
mitigating the risk with facts.

My hope is that in 2 years we'll finally get one and be able to make
some progress.

We can likely kill 3 albatrosses with one bold policy: solve our GWB
problem, solve our GW problem, and solve our Middle East problem.
