Let's look at Iraq. -------------------------- Who's dying over there? Not me nor anyone in my family. Nor am I asked to sacrifice anything. Yet Iraq has been tied to my very security. Shouldn't I be contributing somehow? Do you know how much the military death benefit used to be? $12,000! What a crock of shit! The point is that if Iraq is important enough to fight in, then we should all be fighting somehow. If it's not important enough then nobody should fight. Taxes. ------------- Same concept. Don't punish 1% of the population by making them pay for 100% of the people. And, yes, that's exactly what Edwards suggestion does. If he says part of the money comes from X, fine, but then it all should come from X or the balance should be applied to everyone. Summary ------------------- If we all benefit from a government policy we should all pay. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Upgrade to Adobe ColdFusion MX7 Experience Flex 2 & MX7 integration & create powerful cross-platform RIAs http:http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;56760587;14748456;a?http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/flex2/?sdid=LVNU Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:227292 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
