How'd she get to the bench in the first place? Because I left home at
17 for college with no money and an Army bag stuffed with clothes.
The money I had was student loans and grants. That's it.

I think the disconnect with you is that you want to blame poor on
something other than the person and I haven't met the person that's
not at fault (unless they have some handicap, got sick, etc).

Again, life is a bitch. For some it's horrible. But in America
everyone has a more or less equal chance.

Take black people. There's still talk about not getting ahead because
the Man won't let me. And, yeah, there's discrimination. But there's
also plenty of black billionaires - people that worked their way up
from the ghetto.

How come they were able to do it and others can't? Choices.

If you're like me, you didn't even know you HAD a choice. And that's
where education comes in; hearing from people who can tell what some
of your choices are.

In the end, however, it's up to each person to say, "I don't want to
be poor and those people aren't. Why not? I'm going to do what they
did."

How come immigrants can come here and become millionaires? So of them
don't even speak English!

IT'S CHOICES!
