+1 (1.) Grew up po' and earned every penny I have including having to pay off a combined $150,000+ in student loans (which are now done! Woo hoo!), and having to save for retirement (no inheritance to bail me out), and buying the house that Mom lives in, and subsidizing her, and partially paying for living expenses for my Grandma. So no I didn't have a Daddy much less any money for such an entity. (2.) Taxes are great as long as they are used on things that are things that are measurably working and the programs are accountable to the measures: miss your metrics, lose your funding. Show me a program that reliably and efficiently gets Moms off of Welfare and I'll fund it! Show me a program the takes poor kids and turns them into middle class adults and I'll fund it! (3.) Tax cuts that are not tied to spending cuts are stupid. You want to cut taxes, cut spending. (4.) If the tax code is so complicated that we need to even talk about "the death tax" then the whole thing needs to be revamped. If making people feel the pain of a broken system is what it takes as a change agent, then bring on the pain. I'm against anything that slows down the change agent. (5.) The solution to health care is (a.) consumer driven health care. Reward good hospital, clinics, and doctors for good service. Create a system that fiscally rewards health and punishes illness. (b.) Reduce admin costs through the strategic use of technology. Take any industry and the average admin cost is 5%; in health care it's 30%. 3% of that admin cost would totally fund under/un-funded patients. Problem solved, just need leadership to do it. Conclusion: I am against anything that simply tweaks a broken system: be it taxes, social problems, or health care. Do it right or it's not important enough to do. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Upgrade to Adobe ColdFusion MX7 Experience Flex 2 & MX7 integration & create powerful cross-platform RIAs http:http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;56760587;14748456;a?http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/flex2/?sdid=LVNU Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:227888 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
