Oh - I've seen "Battlestar" and love it. But that's not a Sci-Fi produced
series.

Like all their other good series Farscape (produced by Henson Studios), the
"Stargate" series (produced by MGM) and others "Battlestar" is actually a
joint effort between Sci-Fi and SkyOne (a company that DOES know how to
produce good TV).

Sci-Fi doesn't "make" these shows - they order them.

Essentially Sci-Fi can see good work when it's put in front of them, but
can't create in by themselves. Apparently they need a partner to keep their
faces out of the mud.
