"Some truths are political. And personal. And still true."

But, in calculus class, are truths political and personal?  While it
may be hard to differentiate these in ethics, philosphy, and politics,
it would seem like there are others where a definitive line could be
drawn.  Also, there's that nasty issue of hate speech.  If you really
think you're teaching, is it okay?  Better not let the gov't stop it
because it's a foot in the door.

Well, at least you can see that there is somewhat of a problem here.
That is half the battle in my opinion.

It also seems like sitting back and letting professors funded by tax
payer dollars say anything they want regardless of the class
description is the preferred solution.

Maybe I should go back and get my PhD.  Seems like a pretty good gig.
Say what you want and not be held accountable.  Just have to figure
out a way to squeeze it around a full time job, two part time jobs,
and three children.  Rochville University here I come.
