Ha! I'd cut and paste this dudes argument against that in here, but I'd feel funny. Anyways, there is quite a bit of "logic" that says that we "dropped the bomb"s not because of some (and I agree here, where did 1mil come from?) arbitrary number of casualties we'd face, but because da USSR was about to roll over them fools, and once the commies are in, they tend to stay- thus, we did it to "win" without Russia. The other part of the argument goes: we wouldn't consider dropping them nukes on white people. Whatever their nationality. That's sorta an interesting argument as well. As someone who'd always sorta been "for" the "we did it to save a bunch of lives" argument... I've had to think about it a little harder. Eh.
