I don't have those problems, I don't have clean things out constantly,
and I don't run virus scanning software. I don't have problems in app
switching, or anything like that.

How so? Did they completely overhaul the interface? It didn't seem to me
that they made many changes in it. Did game creators and other companies
start porting their software?

No it isn't I need my computer to do things that OSX cannot do. I need
applications that don't come with the computer. I need third party
applications that aren't developed for the Mac.

What do you mean? I've asked plenty of question. .NET compilers are
there? What SQL Server management interfaces and source control
interfaces are there? After they switched over to the Intel platform I
had a copy of OSX that I installed on a spare desktop. It was neat, but
I went to do things, and Safari didn't work with the web apps, so I had
to download FireFox to test with. I couldn't compile code, and I
couldn't manage Database stuff. It took me all of two days to learn that
there wasn't anything I could do with it but test applications. Which
isn't a big deal because the people I write for are IE users with XP.

I've used the Mac enough to know what it can and cannot do. I've
administered networks with Mac and PC systems, I've worked plenty with
Mac OSX and the ones before it. The cost is one thing, the
upgradeability is one thing, meaning swaping out hardware myself, and
being able to keep the same system for several years replacing hardware
as I want to.

I need something that can do everything when I need it to. OSX cannot do
that. Apple so much as admitted to this with Boot Camp, and the new
Parallels stuff that acts like Citrix.

I'm not going to buy a Mac only to learn that it won't work for me. I
need to be convinced that it will work for me before I spend the money.
I know what does work, and have never been able to get a Mac to do
everything I need. I'm not going to virtualize applications just to run
them in a different OS.
