New to the mass market. They're the defacto standard now and that's
new which means Apple did something to the existing idea or created a
new one to attract customers.

What are MS's big market disruptors? I can't think of any save for
DOS. It was stolen from IBM, but Gates made something special and a
de facto standard. Everything else has been just copying.

So from that perspective they had one big product 25 years ago and
have leveraged their market position to place copy-cat applications.
Nothing wrong with that from a biz perspective, just not very fun.

Nowadays we're in the "creative economy" and in that space they just
don't have many products. Google has out searched them and out
advertised them. Apple is out-designing them. Where's their big
creative products?
