As I said just prior, there are ways upon ways. Apple stole from xerox, MS
stole from Apple, the cycle goes round and round. Probably just some dude
in a garage that's getting really screwed, neh? (or chixor, of course ;)

I still remember the stories, and I know people who had personal dealings
with MS... it wasn't pretty. To compare what they did to stay on top to
what
Apple has done, MS has a little more sin. Sure, both sinners, but MS
moreso.

And that's the difference. The means...

The challenges are daunting and the results have been impressive - and are

I coulda sworn OS X had spotlight first... ;-)

MS has thousands of initiatives. Some, like Zune, are attempts to gain a

I think I'm with Gruss on this one... they leverage their install base more

anything else. :-/ 360 is an exception, and they had to run that at a loss
for quite a bit before they started making money... something a lot of other
places can't do.

Eh.

I still feel the need to bring up Office 2007. This is their flagship

Good, cuz times, they are a changing!

It would be a bummer if they went all out for O07 only to have things
move to a service oriented model, like google&co is pushing...
