Dos wasn't stolen from IBM, it was bought from some guy and licensed to IBM.
Look at Exchange, Look at Internet Explorer. You don't call those market
disruptors? Look at Windows 95 and the inclusion of dial up networking and
TCP/IP in a reasonably easy system.

IE is huge, the first free graphical browser. Neither of the two Mosiac
browsers were free, Netscape wasn't free until 1998. Opera isn't free.

Now it has some 80% or more of the browser market.
