You guys just decide to pass this one up? -----Original Message----- From: Heald, Timothy J Sent: Monday, April 02, 2007 1:05 PM To: CF-Community Subject: RE: UK's troops being seized..
Reuters has eye witnesses placing them in Iraqi waters. http://www.reuters.com/article/latestCrisis/idUSL24273137 Look, I don't know what the British train sailors and Marines to do when captured. With us at the basic level it's supposed to still be name, rank and serial number, but I have serious doubts that many American forces would really hold out long. I know in SERE we're trained to resist and escape. Feed misinformation and so forth, but I seriously doubt these guys and gal were trained at that level. -----Original Message----- From: Zaphod Beeblebrox [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, April 02, 2007 12:46 PM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: UK's troops being seized.. I'm confused with the ease at which the sailors are admitting that they were in Iranian waters. I could see one, or two giving in, but surely not all of them. I'm assuming the Iranians wouldn't be torturing them, but then again I could be wrong. Still, it's not a far stretch to think the Brits were in Iranian waters do some kind of surveillance.
