>What did the EAP do at Ft. AP Hill? A rather large but shallow dioxin spill in 1978 but was not cleaned up until after the first Boy Scout Jamboree there in 1980. It took several scouts from New Orleans being exposed and getting sick to get them to clean up the site. The thing that pissed me off was all it took to clean up the site was to remove the topsoil and incinerate it.
EPA said it didn't need to be cleaned up because it was a military base.
