Tony,

I'd have to disagree after seeing independent study after independent study
show that Americans almost always look the other way, even in the most dire
circumstances. The one I liked the best was this guy who stood out in a
house's front yard and yelled to all the neighbors: "Hey! I'm ripping off
this house! Call the police!" People just stood around and watched and did
nothing. This was after breaking into a few houses without drawing any
attention to himself, so he wondered if flat-out telling people that he was
ripping off the house would make any difference. It didn't. Good
neighborhood, too. In another one he threw bricks through parked car
windows and stole the cars, right in front of everyone else walking by on
the sidewalk right next to the car.

Didn't someone else on this list tell us about a group standing around
watching a girl get stabbed repeatedly? It happens everywhere in this
country, all the time. It's rare that anyone takes any action.

Respectfully,

Adam Phillip Churvis

the whole thing was just amazing to me, to watch what happens in OUR world
happen in THEIR world, and with little to no difference, was just
cool... you could
set that same stage, with different factions of people in a city
setting, complete
with the croc. and everything, and it would be the same.
