Updated story from yesterday's tragic accident. The guy apparently IS an illegal immigrant - his fingerprints match those of a man who was caught twice trying to cross the border in 2004. The Chevy Tahoe he was driving was reported stolen this morning in Charlotte (about 3 hours west of Raleigh) He's being held on $1.2 million bond (he's considered a flight risk, imagine that). The passenger in the Tahoe, who was treated for injuries, was detained after it was determined that he was also an illegal alien, having been deported twice before. The driver works for a concrete company in Concord, NC (near Charlotte). i think companies that hire illegal aliens should be held liable for their actions. That would be one heck of a deterrent for hiring illegals, wouldn't it?
