I agree, but it seems that the people are becoming restless. And we know what that can lead to. So sure we are being distracted by stretching our military to thin fighting two wars, keeping peace in the Balkans, doing whatever it is we are doing in Africa, watching the Sinai and so on, but if the people of Iran become too restless and decide to take matters into their own hands, then they too are distracted by what could become civil war. So in this case, I would think that it would be in their best interest to increase their oil producing capabilities and worry about blowing up the world later. Unless of course they plan to follow the status-quo in the region and use their military might to squash any rebellion that might occur. (Damn, I just answered my own question, LOL).
