If you want to split hairs, I'm right. There's an American and English
Pitbull Terrier, however there is no breed simply called pitbull.

If you ask the average joe on the street what any of these breeds are
they'll say "pitbull". I'm not putting out mis-information. It's the BSL
folks that are

The fact that many people use the word "pitbull" to describe any number of
breeds and cross-breeds used for fighting doesn't mean that we should just
say there's no such breed at all. Whether I know what you meant or not is
beside the point, there's enough misinformation out there already to be
adding to it.
