I've got a ton of these spiders around the house, outside. I haven't killed them yet since I don't know if they're beneficial or not. I just don't want something really poisonous living around me though. The first type seems to like my hot tub and since the cover has been over a month in the making, I can't keep them out of it. They hitch onto the thermometer and just ride along.
