Yeah, I had to laugh at the one comment about how we need to stop paying our employers to get the health insurance and buy it ourselves. HA! As a sole proprietor I can attest to how awful the situation is if you are not able to purchase insurance through a group. It gets far, far worse if you have a chronic problem or have any serious injury in the past 10 years. Insurance companies can pretty much deny you for any reason at all, and even if you are able to get insurance, you have far higher co-pays and deductibles than with group plans. I'm single and have to pay almost $400 a month for my insurance and still have a $750 deductible and 20% copay. That means I'm paying over $5K a year before my insurance will even kick in and cover anything. That's a pretty sizable chunk of salary when you are self-employed...and mine is not even the most expensive plan out there. Prescription drug coverage is equally crappy, I often have to take drugs that are less effective for me, because the newer ones are way too expensive. The insurance issues are making it even harder for small businesses to get off the ground and succeed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Download the latest ColdFusion 8 utilities including Report Builder, plug-ins for Eclipse and Dreamweaver updates. http;//www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=labs%5adobecf8%5Fbeta Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:241015 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
