I think my main point, is that sure, people complain (*blush*), but I have
yet to get even ONE "survey" from the dems about this stuff. It's all war
war war. Or abortion, etc.. Great stuff, and good for arguing and whatnot,
but not really the biggest problems we're facing. They're more symptoms,
if you ask me.

And the Repubs? "The terristses are gonna git ya if you don't allow us to
tap yer phones!" seems to be the party line. Hell, the local yokel ran on
that, using fake shit ("do you really want the .gov to have to wait to get
a tap on terrists?", which was BS, they could file for the warrants post-
tapping, which in itself is pretty insane, yet wasn't apparently invasive
and constitution-crushing enough).

Sure people bitch about it, the same people that have been bitching
about it since way before this latest crop of liberty-seller-off-ers. What
bothers me is that the common joe doesn't really seem to care.

Until The Man is gunning for them, of course. Then it's like "hey, this
stuff is, like, protected and stuff"- Ha! Fair weather Americans.

And a third party? People who actually believed in that crap are the
reason Bush got in in the first place. Don't blame Perot... I don't
think Clinton turned out even a forth as bad, in comparison. Yet still,
jokers use him as an excuse to continue doing crap that they thought
was bad when Clinton did it, but is somehow now ok because clinton
did it, or whatever.

The Republicans, the party with all the power, and that SAYS it's for
stuff like protecting liberty, and maybe state's rights and whatnot-
Is the very party that's done the most damage in the history of the
nation.

Mostly, I just see bitching about the war.

I want to see bitching about the dismemberment of the constitution, and
Pork projects, and the way the system actually works, vs. all this kind
of unrelated, almost yellow journalism type stuff.

Maybe I was confused, and it's just the libertarians who care about the
core concepts of, um... liberty, I guess. Same problem as the greens,
really.

Seriously tho, how many people do you know that are running on Civil
Liberties, and restoring the constitution type stuff? I can count them
on one hand (of the only /two/ real parties).

Even when the common joe does care about an issue, do you really
feel he's represented? Are you feeling that the government is here
to serve /you/, and your best interests?

Do you feel represented, Loathe?
