Truly, the search and detention of the captain, and the flouting of
international laws was bad, but for me not the worst part.

The confiscation of the reporters media (pads, film and video) disturbs me more.

What are they so worried about that they don't want the world to see?

I would like the US to have retained some actual diplomatic influence
in the world, rather than throwing it all away on the ill-fated
invasion or Iraq. But that horse is out of the barn.

I don't know what I want. Maybe some back-room maneuvering to get the
situation taken care of? Maybe some strong public statement of
disappointment? You know, the things a country does when it's rights
are violated.
