Thanks, everyone, for all your advice and input ... after much research and
listening to wiser people than we are, we decided to go with AT&T | Dish,
mostly for their bundled package. We're getting 200 channels of Dish Network,
the highest speed DSL, a family cell phone package with decent minutes,
rollover minutes, and two free RAZR phones (our cell phone contract w/ Verizon
is up in three weeks, too, and not a moment too soon), and home phone service
with unlimited long distance. Oh, and Homezone service, which lets you stream
your photos and music from your computer over the wireless network, download
movies off the Internet, and listen to Internet radio all thru your television.
The DVR w/ Homezone is also accessible from two TVs, so it's kind of like a
whole-home DVR.

All for $220/mo, which is about $10/mo. less than the total we would pay for
Comcast cable/internet and our old Verizon cell phone package. I figured I can
use the home phone service for business purposes, or just for 911 peace of mind.

And they gave us an instant $150 rebate on installation so we only had to pay
about $42 to install the landline service.

So, a pretty sweet deal ... we'll see how it goes! I have to say, the customer
service guy who helped me out was phenomenal. Professional, knew his stuff,
answered all my questions, was so helpful with info that I didn't even know to
ask that he just volunteered. Props to AT&T ... we've found the cs peeps with
U-verse to be just as great.

All in all an experience 100x better than any I've ever gotten from cable, even
when I WORKED for Time Warner.

Hope it continues.
