Well, I don't believe this, but, if you believe in an all powerful God, it would be trivial to create everything in 6 days and make it _look_ like it took a million years. Of course, if God then that, then the distinction doesn't really matter. I'm speaking specifically to the 'age' question. Under the scenario above, evolution would still happen, but not in the same time frame.
