I've known some. Not many, but some. Unfortunately right now the church is backsliding on a lot of issues. For many years (under John Paul) the church was (for a church) dramatically accepting of science, other religions and generally tolerant. Pretty fun stuff :) Exactly... it's not usually a topic that I bring up. That's not to say I won't answer honestly if asked but I try not to rub people's faces in it. I'll defend my stance vehemently but I've grown wise enough to realize that you're never going to change somebody's mind on the subject. I just wish other people would hurry up and get wise enough to know that they're not going to change mine either. That's one of the main reasons that I'm SO against the scouts: they're propagating this myth that the only possible source of morality is religion. That atheism is a choice made to commit sin unchallenged. Basically the organization is telling me, clearly, that I'm immoral, a bad American and that it's impossible to give my children any ethical sense.
