I love Senheiser mics... used one the last time I was in a recording studio, great warm sound.. and sturdy... I'm pretty hard on studio mics..

That's where I first heard it, and thought it was a made-up word. Looked it up, found out otherwise. Another link we have to the Geico commercials: The guy who does the voiceover "____ is not an actor, so we've hired an actor..." is the same guy we hired for the voiceover work on our upcoming podcasts. We did a prototype podcast and he sounded great. Blended-in some original music composed by a recording pro acquaintance, and the whole thing sounds fantastic. David and I built a nice little recording studio over here, and we have a digital hybrid that enables telephone call-ins to sound like they're right there in the studio. Great mics, Sennheiser HD650 reference headphones, and we feed everything through a Mackie mixer and edit on a Mac. The only problem was getting the sound perfected. It was a prototype so I expected it would have some kinks (and it did), but the first real episode will be perfect.
