no, there is a difference. That's why I'll hang out with religious people, but don't really care to associate with child molesters. That said, I still feel that religion in general is a blight on humanities forward movement.
And while I don't see any proselytizing going on, the reason I see the attacks going on is because in essence the minority (we non-believing heathens) aren't really represented. The number of religious people in this nation far outnumbers the non-religious. So when one of us complains about the word "god" in the pledge, it's seen as an attack on religion, when to us, it's merely trying to set things "right" and in our minds, back to the original spirit of the pledge. Is it bad 100%, no, most everything has it's plusses and minuses. I happen to believe the minuses outweigh the plusses at this point.
