I worked in the field for 6 months, drafting window details in some big firm. i had no knowledge how to draft (you don't learn that in school) and it was nothing like what i did in school, which was challenging, creative and interesting.
I quit and went back to grad school to become an art teacher. That summer i had a temp job at a computer consulting firm. They had the 1.0 beta of access. And Lotus Notes. I was the receptionist and i answered the phone and read the manuals and made an employee database in notes. The computer geeks were so impressed they talked me into changing my profession. I am glad i did, I would hate doing "production" work. Although I would have liked to go to Berkely. --Beth, Pseudo usenet cop Merlin MTB, BikeE AT, RANS gliss, Trek R200, Kickbike Owned by Kavik (Samoyed Boy) and Toklat (Keeshond Boy) Anchorage, Alaska ----- Original Message ----- From: "Braver, Ben" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CF-Community" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, March 13, 2002 8:36 AM Subject: RE: Muffins vs. Muffins > Beth- > > Architecture studio? > Did you ever go into the arch profession? > > my wife has an architecture degree from U.C.
