I worked in the field for 6 months, drafting window details in some big
firm.  i had no knowledge how to draft (you don't learn that in school) and
it was nothing like what i did in school, which was challenging, creative
and interesting.

I quit and went back to grad school to become an art teacher.

That summer i had a temp job at a computer consulting firm.  They had the
1.0 beta of access.  And Lotus Notes.  I was the receptionist and i answered
the phone and read the manuals and made an employee database in notes.  The
computer geeks were so impressed they talked me into changing my profession.

I am glad i did, I would hate doing "production" work.  Although I would
have liked to go to Berkely.
