I would say she's the victim of every unreasonable act that led to the incident. Calibrate the coffee machine or get one that tempers its boiling water to around 170F before brewing and holds it at a reasonably drinkable temperature, affix tape-style color-change thermometers to decanters, train workers to recognize potential thermal hazards, etc. These are the actions you hear plaintiffs' attorneys arguing as reasonable to expect, and they make perfect sense when you hear them in court after hearing about and seeing plaintiffs' injuries.
