I really enjoyed the Painter program-- great for artists coming to the
computer
from "real" art. Probably limiting after a while, but I enjoyed the
interface and
way they have their "brushes" and whatnot done up. Mimics "real" art...

My sister the artist liked it ok, but is a wiz with PS/InDesign, which seem
to
do more processing stuffs. I really enjoyed it tho-- Porbably the paint can
it came in (that smelled like paint!) that got me. :-)

It's my "fun" art program. Been ages since I had that kind of fun tho. :-)

CorelDraw was the first, and best. Pagemaker gained a ton of ground, but
when we were switching the printing company over to digital, Corel was king.

I still remember the amazement... these 300K machines... and then this
single program... crazy. Sad, too. I miss the hot lead. :-)
