Amazes me that digital SLRs can be bought for such a price now. They sure
have come down in price, at least the lower end models, although I still
would like to see the rest of the lines come down more too, seems like each
camera I buy costs almost exactly the same as the previous one. The D40 is a
bit too bare bones for me, too restricted on what lenses it works with, etc.
but fine for the average consumer. I'm kind of invested in the Canon line at
this point with some of their better lenses anyway, so I treated myself to a
new Canon 40D a few weeks back and that is one *sweet* camera. I had a lot
of fun taking shots at Christmas with it. In fact, here's a link to one of
